Problem
In public procurement, there is an ongoing tension between lowest cost and achieving wider outcomes with value for money (lowest price) still seen as the key driver. Refocusing procurement on sustainability and social value, rather than cost alone, will help to rebalance this.

Appointing social value champions can raise awareness of and embed social value within public bodies. They can also provide a point of contact for social value organisations, enabling public bodies to build relationships and understand more about key opportunities
