Simple Changes #25
Have a flexible working policy
Problem
A 2016 survey by the Equality and Human Rights Commission revealed that Welsh employers lag behind England and Scotland in offering flexible working. Inflexible working patterns can have a detrimental effect on our busy lives, and many statistics show that they disproportionately affect women.
Simple Change
Flexible working interventions that increase worker control and choice (such as flexible hours, self-scheduling or gradual/partial retirement) can also improve business productivity by 65%. By introducing or improving your flexible working policy, you can show that you value staff well-being, whilst benefitting your organisation’s work.
