Provide lockers for your employees
Regular sport and physical activity can play a major role in lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, type 2 diabetes and obesity. Employees who spend 2.5 hours a week being physically active report being happier at work, report increased work ability and took less sick time. By using work time for exercise, employees can also improve their work-life balance because their workout time isn’t squeezed into already busy personal/family time.
By providing lockers for your employees, this sends out a positive message to employees that you actively encourage them to be physically active during the day and/or travel actively to and from work. Having somewhere to store clothes and equipment within your organisation shows you are valuing that behaviour.
