Publishing data on protected characteristics and pay grades within the workforce. This includes the gender pay-gap
Public bodies in Wales are required to report on the demographics of their workforce but not on the relationships between protected characteristics and pay in the same way that other organisations are required to do. For example, NHS England has a workforce Race Equality Standard. Having a representative workforce makes moral, legal and financial sense, whilst ensuring higher quality care and services.
By publishing data on protected characteristics and pay grades, you can identify any issues and take action to make improvements.
